Azan Time is built for Muslims, by Muslims. We respect your privacy the same way we expect ours to be respected. This policy explains exactly what data the app touches and what it doesn't.
If you grant location permission, Azan Time uses your coordinates to compute accurate prayer times. The calculation happens entirely on your phone. The coordinates never leave your device. You can deny location permission and enter your city manually instead.
Preferences (calculation method, selected city, streak counter, notification settings, selected reciter) are stored locally on your device using standard app storage. Uninstalling the app removes them.
If you enable azan notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device at calculated prayer times. These notifications are triggered locally and do not go through our servers or any push-notification service.
The free version of Azan Time may show occasional banner or interstitial ads via Google AdMob between screens — never on the prayer time or adhan screens. AdMob may collect basic device information (OS version, approximate region, advertising identifier) subject to its own privacy policy. You can reset your advertising identifier at any time from your device settings. Ads are shown respectfully and are muted during azan playback.
We use anonymous, aggregated crash reporting to diagnose issues. No personal identifiers are attached. If you'd rather not participate, you can disable "Share Analytics" in Settings.
Azan Time is safe for all ages. Because we do not collect personal data, the app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Parents and guardians may contact us to request removal of any data, though in practice there is nothing on our servers to remove.
Under GDPR, CCPA and similar regulations you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. Because Azan Time stores no personal data on any server, there is nothing to export or delete from our side — everything lives on your device.
If we meaningfully change how data is handled, we will update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be communicated via an in-app notice.
Questions, concerns, or feedback on how we handle data? Email support@azantime.app — it's read personally by the developer, and usually replied to within 48 hours.
