Daily azan times for the two holy cities and major urban centers. Calculated with the Umm al-Qura method — the official Saudi standard.
The two holy mosques and Saudi Arabia's major cities.
Saudi Arabia uses the Umm al-Qura calculation method, developed by Umm al-Qura University in Makkah. Fajr is set at 18.5° below the horizon, and Isha is calculated as 90 minutes after Maghrib (extended to 120 minutes during Ramadan). This method is the official standard for Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi.
Asr in Saudi Arabia follows the Shafi'i / Maliki / Hanbali calculation (shadow = object length + midday shadow), which is standard across most of the Arab world and roughly 30 minutes earlier than the Hanafi Asr used in South Asia.
For pilgrims performing Umrah or Hajj, the Azan Time app shows live prayer countdowns in Makkah and Madinah, plus an offline Qibla compass pointing directly to the Kaaba.
